Setting Up Your Browser

It's very important that you set up your browser and computer properly to receive credits for the offers that you complete.

Certain data has to be transferred from the offer site(like Napster's website if you are doing a Napster offer) to the freebie site(like zipnadazilch.com where all the offers are located). For this data to get from one place to another properly, you need to make sure your computer isn't blocking it. To do this, you need to closely follow the preceding rules. This section will be updated with further details as time allows, but for now these are the basics. ONE QUICK NOTE: Although Internet Explorer(and possibly other browsers) will work, the most highly recommended browser for completing freebie sites is Mozilla Firefox. If possible, please download it before completing sites.

1. Before completing any offers, you need to turn off any antivirus, firewalls, spyware blockers, pop-up blockers, or other security you have running. You can turn it back on as soon as you have followed the procedure to complete the offer properly. To do this, normally your security programs will show in the "running tasks" in the right bottom corner of your screen. Open the security software from there and turn everything off. I will at some point get more program-specific information for different security programs on this site, but until then if you're having trouble with this, go to google and put in "how to disable (your security software)" where you put the name of your security software in and you don't need to quotes or parentheses.

2. You will need to go to allow cookies and pop-ups through your browser. With most browsers and versions, go to the Tools tab at the top of your browser, and click on Options or Internet Options. There will be different sections, and most likely what you need will be in the Content and/or Privacy sections. Make sure you allow all cookies, even third-party cookies, then find a setting that says either Allow Popups or Do Not Block Popups and set it to allow popups. Again, if you're having trouble, go to google and search "how to allow cookies in (your browser name and version)" or something similar. You should be able to find your browser version under the Help or About tab along the top of the browser window.

3. Before you sign in to the freebie site and start completing offers, you will need to clear your private date(particularly cookies, cache, and browsing history). This should also be under Tools, Options/Internet Options, and then Privacy. Make sure you've cleared/deleted these things before you log in to start completing offers. Once again, if you're having trouble, go to google and search "how to clear your cookies in (browser name and version)" or "how to clear your private data in (browser name and version)".
